With the announcement of Martha Stuart and Snoop Dogg’s reality show, it makes people think; Hollywood is a weird place. The most different people end up friends or in relationships and on the outside looking in, it is the strangest thing.
Cara Delevingne and Kate Hudson are friends. Kim Kardashian and Nick Lachey dated. There are hundreds of weird pairings in Hollywood but if you break it down to the most general terms it does make sense. They meet at work.
Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party is going to be Martha and Snoop teaming up to throw a dinner party for all of their celebrity friends. VH1 describes it as a “half-baked evening of cooking, conversation and fun where nothing is off limits.”
The two appeared on ABC’s 100,000 Pyramid and on Justin Bieber’s roast on Comedy Central. Snoop also appeared on Martha Stewart’s show.
“At our dinner party, we will exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity. Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way,” said Martha Stewart.
It is a strange pairing, Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart, but they will be a great pair for television. They have met multiple times because of doing the same appearances and apparently formed a friendship.
Even though us “regular people” see celebrities and Hollywood as the huge unreachable playground, for those who live in it, it is just apart of their jobs. Most celebrities have been in the business for decades so of course they will make friends at work.
You need a support system in life. You always have family and spouses but if they are not in the same line of work, it is hard to appropriately vent to someone who actually understands.
Innovation psycologist Dr. Smantha Imber, states that “Having a friend at work, or more broadly, people that you trust and people that you feel will support you, is really important for boosting confidence and when you’re confident, that can lead to all sorts of positive work outcomes.”
Some of these friendships and relationships seem weird to us but it may have been the support system that got these celebrities through tough times. Who are we to judge?
Maybe the real reason why you love the movie “Murder by Numbers” so much is because Ryan Gosling and Sandra Bullock were dating at the time and they supported each other through filming.
